Print Distribution

The Print Distribution module facilitates the scheduling, distribution and printing of information from the OnBase document management system to remote locations through a WAN. This advanced method of printing allows for the selective and scheduled printing of documents. Selective printing is defined by document types and document keywords and can manage a different format for each type. The scheduled option prints the jobs from the selected printing settings and is preconfigured to occur on specific days of the week and at certain times of the day.

When combined with other scheduled modules such as  COLD/ERM , Print Distribution provides a seamless method of data processing and distribution with limited user interaction to save time and money. After designated administrators have scheduled COLD/ERM processes and set the day and time of printing, the information is distributed to remote locations so that each site prints out its own document at a designated printer at a specific day and time.

For example, if daily production reports must be distributed to all locations at a particular company, the report is imported into OnBase with COLD/ERM processing, which is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Wednesday mornings. Print Distribution would be scheduled to occur immediately afterwards, so that every Wednesday at about 9 a.m. reports would be imported and then distributed throughout the company's locations and printed on designated printers.

Application

Distributed organizations in which employees must rely on paper-based documents or reports can reduce labor costs by automating printing to various locations. Service providers whose service level agreements require that regular reports be sent to the customer will also benefit from the features of this module.
