Integration for WSRP
Integration for WSRP allows OnBase users to interact with OnBase documents and business processes from within practically any Java™-based enterprise portal product that supports the Web Services for Remote Portlets (WSRP) 1.0 standard.
This gives users access to the same documents, Workflow queues and collaboration spaces as their colleagues working in the HTTP-based OnBase Web client, enabling them to simultaneously take full advantage of multiple OnBase functions for day-to-day job responsibilities from one convenient, streamlined portal viewer. Available functions include File Upload, Custom Queries, Document Knowledge Transfer (DKT), E-Forms, Envelopes, Folders, Workflow and WorkView .
User interfaces are highly flexible. From standard document list views to interactive 3-D visual graphic summaries, users have the ability to choose visual formats that best serve their needs. Content formats can be simple overviews of system status, as with a high-level executive dashboard, or can be designed to enable interactive workflows.
OnBase Integration for WSRP uses standard authentication methods to allow for a single sign-on experience while maintaining required high levels of user security. This means that users are not prompted for their OnBase credentials each time a page is loaded.
Application
Integration for WSRP allows organizations to maximize their ECM and portal investments to drive productivity by presenting the documents and tasks users need in a familiar interface. For example, a human resources (HR) recruiter who needs to be able to tell at a glance if there are job applications, scheduled interviews and offer letters that must be reviewed can configure a page that displays each of these Workflow activities in its own portal for real-time access to all three. In addition, s/he can display a portal with the employee folder interface that contains HR information on each employee and a portal containing a custom query that will search the system according to department to help schedule interviews.
