Integration for GE Centricity®

Improve clinical care connectivity and accelerate revenue cycle processes in creating an enterprise-wide patient-centered electronic medical record. OnBase's dedicated integration to GE Centricity solutions provides the tools to capture and integrate clinical and financial content throughout the patient care delivery continuum, promoting the comprehensive effectiveness of a longitudinal medical record.

Benefits from the OnBase Integration for GE Centricity include allowing employees to manage requests, research and functions without leaving their desks or even the GE Centricity interface. Whether responding to insurers asking for medical record documents or managing correspondence with patients or payers, employees are more productive and can focus on higher-value tasks.

The OnBase Integration with the GE Centricity can be rapidly deployed as installation is not required on every user machine. No matter where patient care is provided, OnBase provides the tools to secure and provide access to patient information from any location.  In addition, auditing tools facilitate patient confidentiality and security. OnBase has proven reliability and response time enabling clinician workflow, providing the ability for clinicians to access secured patient information when needed to facilitate patient care.

Electronic Medical Record Solutions

Provide immediate and secure access to patient information generated from locations both within and outside the healthcare system from one central location through the integration between OnBase and the Centricity Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Comply with the need to store a variety of medical record document types by using OnBase as a central repository to secure, manage and store not only paper and electronically generated documents, but other media such as photos, surgical videos and graphics.  In providing tools such as medical record completion and electronic signature functionality, documentation may be analyzed and completed from the Centricity interface in any location, improving medical record completion rates as well as access to patient information.

Batch scanning and HL7 synchronization between OnBase and Centricity allow scanned documents to be linked to Centricity, improving the clinical workflow and reducing redundancy. For instance, if a patient visit requires services at multiple sites on a healthcare campus, they will not be required to resubmit the same documents at each registration desk.

Integration for GE Centricity also empowers high-speed OnBase scanning in high-volume scanning departments such as Health Information Management (HIM) for incomplete or complete records.

Revenue Cycle Solutions

Capture patient information from the point of registration, through patient care delivery and claim submission, utilizing the OnBase integration with the GE Centricity Revenue Cycle solutions. Complementing the GE Centricity Revenue Cycle solutions, OnBase improves accounts receivable processing time by making information instantly available from Centricity for coding and claims submission.

Documents stored through the OnBase integration are available to both the provider and coder at the same time, improving chart completion turnaround time as well as minimizing delays decreasing accounts receivable days. Instead of the coder tracking down the documentation associated with the account, the documentation is provided electronically and the account is assigned to the coder according to defined business rules utilizing an automated workflow process. Additional information requested by the payer is available electronically to expedite requests for supporting documentation, shortening the timeline for payment of service provided.

Application

By eliminating trailing paperwork, the OnBase Integration for GE Centricity can help hospitals, clinics and physicians realize the vision of a paperless patient record that can be immediately accessed by multiple authorized caregivers from the Centricity user interface from any secured location. The integration is designed to extend the benefits of document management to GE Centricity users with minimal disruption and training. Patient care is improved as caregivers have access to patient level medical record documentation from virtually any location.
