With Application EnablerT, the Bar Code Generator can further automate the indexing process by "scraping" index information from a line-of-business application and automatically populating these fields. This distributes indexing to where the documents originate to increase accuracy and speed.

Each bar code is "self-configured" with prefixes indicating to OnBase what the bar code value is (document type, document data or keyword type). This eliminates the need to identify bar code coordinates during process configuration. Once generated, users can print bar codes as needed or they can print automatically as they are created. By simply placing the bar code sheets on top of its matching documents, they are ready for scanning. Using the Production Document Imaging module, the bar code automatically indexes documents as they are scanned into OnBase without user input.
