OnBase is designed to enhance - not displace - existing technology investments, minimizing the impact on users, reducing total cost of ownership and speeding deployment. To rapidly assimilate ECM with its customers' diverse IT environments, OnBase offers a range of rapidly deployed, cost-effective integration options.

The OnBase  Application EnablerT  is a point-and-click configurable integration tool that seamlessly links documents and processes managed in OnBase with practically any line-of-business applications. Users can index and retrieve documents, automatically generate e-forms, Microsoft Word documents and workflow activities and create bar-coded cover sheets used in scanning without leaving the familiar interface in which they work daily.

Dedicated  ERP integrations are available for a number of industry-leading applications such as those from SAP®, Oracle® and Esker® as well as solutions from ESRI®, Microsoft® and others. In addition to process-driven product integrations, OnBase offers solutions for integrating other forms of content  such as faxes, e-mails or CAD drawings as well as integrating with our technology partners .

Hyland Software has developed a set of Web Services that will process requests for documents to be stored/retrieved and process workflow execution requests. The Hyland Web Services software development kit (SDK) for .NET allows object-oriented programming without requiring knowledge of technologies such as XML or SOAP. The Hyland Web Services SDK for JavaT includes a JAR file that enables object-oriented programming in Java using Java objects without requiring knowledge of the OnBase XML structure or SOAP. This extends OnBase access and interoperability to the majority of current computing platforms.

Highly complex specialized solutions can be built using the powerful OnBase application programming interfaces (APIs). OnBase APIs enable remote or local applications to interact with the OnBase content repository and OnBase Workflow using standard COM, DCOM, HTTP and SOAP protocols. An OnBase Authorized Solution Provider can help you determine the right tools to drive return on investment in your organizations.
