Report Mining Integration for Datawatch MonarchT
The OnBase Report Mining Integration allows business professionals to explore, consolidate, format and aggregate detailed business transactions by extracting data from COLD/ERM information stored within OnBase into data mining software from Datawatch Corp. The OnBase system is integrated with Monarch for an OnBase Client deployment and Monarch | RMS for a Web Client deployment. The interface allows an analysis of information-rich text reports and PDFs processed and stored within OnBase to uncover patterns and relationships contained within an organization's activity and transaction history without IT assistance.
By taking legacy information to a new level, this integration provides improved business intelligence to any business analyst via OnBase. Additionally, customized reports and summaries can be further extended, including the ability to automatically associate multiple data models to reports. Data from customized reports and summaries can be presented graphically in dynamic charts and graphs for professionals to visualize trends and relationships within their mission-critical data.
The integration allows for COLD/ERM documents, including transaction logs, stored within OnBase to be extracted into the Datawatch application and viewed from the user's desktop. From a document hit list in the OnBase Client or Web Client, the user right-clicks on a document or a group of documents and extracts them to the Datawatch application. The report model file is automatically applied to the report based on the information assigned to the document type in OnBase configuration. Once the report is displayed in the Datawatch application, the user can easily locate and retrieve the specific relevant data on their desktop within a secure environment. Datawatch enables data to be extracted from a report into a table view without re-keying for further manipulation of the data. The user can also create summary views to tabulate information for selected fields and present the results in a one or two-dimensional matrix, which can then be charted.
Application
Any report user or reporting community will benefit from the increased productivity and improved access to business intelligence provided by the report mining interface. Business analysts can access this business intelligence at a fraction of the cost of far more expensive, resource-intensive technologies.
A financial institution with large amounts of text reports being archived can identify crucial money saving information by analyzing the data already contained within the text reports. If the financial institution was losing money based on a large amount of fees being reversed, the company could evaluate if the reversals were based on one particular fee, mostly by an individual employee or branch or a within a certain time frame. By being able to identify the cause of the problem, the organization can recommend corrective action.
